Hi, I’m Fiona. I’m a visual designer and brand strategist based in Arlington, Virginia.
I see design as a world-building tool. I’m interested in how a brand can become more than a visual identity - how it can establish a distinct voice, shape an environment, and create a world that people can recognize, understand, and connect with. When I approach a project, I ask: What world does this belong to?
My work is rooted in comprehensive thinking and storytelling. I enjoy developing identities from the big picture down to the smallest details, bringing strategy, art direction, typography, illustration, advertising, packaging, editorial, and environmental applications together to create cohesive experiences with depth. Rather than designing individual pieces in isolation, I’m interested in building visual systems that feel considered, expressive, and alive.
Outside of design, I make art, illustrate, and run my small business, Barbed Fawn, where I create upcycled fashion through relief printing. My passion for printmaking continually influences my design practice, bringing an appreciation for texture, materiality, experimentation, and the character of handmade imperfections.
At the heart of my work is a desire to build connections through visual language - creating brands and experiences that have something to say, invite people in, and feel like they belong to a world of their own.
